Gábor Pongor
Gábor holds an honors
degree in Mathematics from the University of Sciences,
Debrecen. He has been a lecturer of mathematics at the
University of Veszprém (Hungary) and the University
of Graz (Austria). As a consultant for Andersen Consulting
for five years, he developed extensive experience in
the fields of information technology and performance
management, invaluable private sector skills which he
is able to bring to DIA’s work in the nonprofit
sector. Currently Gábor is an Executive at Vodafone
Hungary.
Richard Harrill
Richard has a J.D. and B.A. from
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His
commitment to youth service began while still a high
school student directing a community service program
in Charleston, S.C. While in college he directed the
youth service center at the University of North Carolina,
and served as a board member for the Campus Outreach
Opportunity League. He has been a Senior Fellow at the
Bonner Foundation in Princeton, NJ and a youth policy
coordinator for Columbia University’s Clearinghouse
on International Developments in Child, Youth and Family
Policy in New York. As a US Peace Corps volunteer in
Veszprém, Hungary from 1993-1995, he developed
a program model for incorporating service-learning into
the Hungarian education system. Between 1998 and 2000,
Harrill conducted research on youth service, built DIA,
launched its pilot programs and policy body, and developed
its staff and board.
Péter Horváth
Péter has a BA from the
College of Public Administration and an MA in European
Studies from the University of Economics in Budapest.
He previously worked for the Hungarian Institute of
Public Administration organizing conferences and delivering
lectures on European integration. Currently as Information
Officer of the European Union Information Centre, he
provides information to the citizens, public and civil
organizations of Hungary regarding the Hungarian accession
process.
Marta Koltay
Marta is working towards her
degree in International Communications at the University
of International Business in Budapest. As a full-time
student, she brings a unique perspective and a powerful
youth voice to the board. She has a strong interest
in DIA's cross-border programs. During the next year
she will study in the Netherlands. She is a strong advocate
for the importance of extra-curricular activities on
the high school and university levels. She has taken
a leadership role in the student government of her university. |
