YSI's Goals
The partners in YSI’s network share a common commitment to helping young people develop the skills, attitudes and habits of lifetime civic participation. We create strategies that involve the private, public and non-profit sectors and emphasize cross-border cooperation. Together, we:

• Pilot high-quality volunteer youth corps and service-learning programs through schools, universities, and NGOs;
• Conduct youth service research and promote public policy with the support of education, corporate, philanthropic, government and other allies; and
• Leverage resources from different sectors through entrepreneurial partnerships with corporations, foundations, governmental agencies, and NGOs.
