| Slovenia: Krsko
- The city: Krsko, about 35
km outside of Zagreb, Croatia, is located where the
Sava River and the Krka River come together. With
a population of 28,800, the city is best known for
tourism and agriculture. It produces many award-winning
varieties of wines and hosts cultural festivals such
as the Videm Wind Orchestra and the Krsko
Music School’s Big Band Festival.

- Sample Projects:
1. Veni, video, vici: Young volunteers prepare their
own TV show and short films in direct partnership
with TV Krsko. The group has organized weekend seminars
as well as a summer school in 2001.
2. Enjoying Nature and Society: Annual summer camp
organized for refugee and at-risk children.
3. Ethnology Section: Revitalization of a local 200-year-old
water mill during the summer with a partner organization
from the Netherlands.
